Claudio Ranieri could be set for a surprise return to football with Nantes, report L’Equipe.
The 2015/16 Premier League title winning manager is out of work after being surprising dismissed by Leicester City last season, less than 12 months after their odds-defying triumph.
Ranieri has in recent weeks been strongly linked with taking over at Championship side Leeds United, with ESPN reporting the Whites were set to make an approach after Garry Monk resigned.

He has though recently slipped down the list of potential candidates as far as bookies SkyBet are concerned.
According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Ranieri has travelled to France for a discussion with Nantes.
He is meeting with club president Waltemar Kita, who is seeking to replace Sergio Conceicao.
Ranieri has managed in Ligue 1 before with Monaco, and is open to doing so again.
The meeting is less of an interview and more Nantes president Kita making his pitch to Ranieri. After his Leicester achievements he is in high demand.
