Some Chelsea fans are reacting on Twitter to speculation that Leeds United want to sign one of their players.

According to The Telegraph, Leeds are keen on Blues marksman Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian striker, who cost Chelsea £33 million in 2016 [The Guardian], previously played under Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa during their time together at Marseille.

Here’s how some fans of the Stamford Bridge club reacted to the transfer rumour:

Does it make sense?

Not exactly, no.

Leeds can definitely improve this summer, even if they finished ninth in the Premier League last season.

But would Batshuayi – who’s had two loans with Crystal Palace over the past couple of seasons – add something that they don’t already have? Not really.

Patrick Bamford had a brilliant first Premier League season with the Whites, scoring 17 goals in 38 outings.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo, who joined Leeds as a club-record signing last summer, can also play as a number nine and his form toward the end of the campaign suggests he could be much better next time around.

In all honesty, the West Yorkshire club don’t really need a striker and therefore this one only makes sense if Bamford – who has been tentatively linked away – was leaving.
