Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Liverpool striker Divock Origi is not injured, despite missing on his side’s squad to face Wolves on Sunday evening.
At his latest press conference, which was broadcast by Liverpool’s official website, Klopp was asked about the whereabouts of the Belgian striker.
But the Liverpool boss was quick to bat away suggests that Origi had an injury, and simply stated that he was left out as he is so far down the pecking order at the moment.
“Div is not injured,” Klopp said.
“But our offensive options are better than in other areas so I cannot bring three strikers. Div is in good shape, but wasn’t in the squad in the Premier League last time.”
The comments make grim reading for Origi, whose days are surely numbered at Anfield now.

The Liverpool forward has seen Diogo Jota and Takumi Minamino join the club over the past year, and they are both now ahead of him in the selection order currently.
It is difficult to see where Origi’s game time at Liverpool is going to come this season, outside of cup competitions.
The £10 million striker (Guardian) could actually be used tomorrow evening though, as Liverpool are likely to name a much changed line-up in the Champions League for their game against Midtjylland, having already sealed qualification to the knockout stages.
