It goes without saying that Arsenal fans love Bukayo Saka.

You could argue that the Arsenal supporters haven’t been this excited about one of their own since Jack Wilshere broke into the senior side 11 years ago.

But even some Gunners fans aren’t buying the theory that Saka is a better player than Manchester City’s Phil Foden.

Former Tottenham striker and long-time BBC pundit Garth Crooks suggested that the 19-year-old Arsenal gem may be better than Foden, 20.

Thing is, Foden, who already has 100 games under Pep Guardiola, has established himself as a big player in one of the best Premier League teams of all time, with this Manchester City side winning the title this week and also have a Champions League final to look forward to.

And although the North Londoners adore Saka, some on Twitter don’t buy Crooks’s suggestion one bit.

It’s worth pointing out that Foden is about 16 months older than the Arsenal winger and in time, the latter may well develop into a player equally as lethal as the Sky Blues attacker.

But for now, the Gunners fans are probably right in saying that Foden is ahead of his England team-mate.
