Some Fulham fans are expressing their disappointment after the sale of Cody Drameh to Leeds United.
Leeds confirmed the right-back’s capture on a four-year contract earlier on Thursday, having agreed an undisclosed fee with Fulham.
Drameh is the latest Cottagers academy product to be prised away by a rival English club, after Patrick Roberts (Manchester City), Ryan Sessegnon (Tottenham) and Harvey Elliott (Liverpool).
And losing another of their homegrown talents is something the following Fulham supporters had been keen to avoid – even though Drameh had entered the final year of his contract with the Cottagers, who risked losing him for next-to-nothing next summer had they denied him a move.
Drameh becomes the sixth player to sign for Leeds in the wake of the Whites’ return to the Premier League.
He follows Helder Costa, Illan Meslier and Jack Harrison, along with his fellow teens Joe Gelhardt and Charlie Allen, to Elland Road.

Drameh cited working with Marcelo Bielsa, the coach who in his words ‘transformed’ the career of another full-back, Benjamin Mendy at Marseille, as one of his reasons for joining Leeds.
