Kevin Campbell has said that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta won’t be selecting Gabriel Martinelli for tomorrow’s North London derby with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Emirates Stadium plays host as Spurs travel across the city to face Arteta’s side.

Arsenal go into the derby on the back of three straight victories in all competitions, including a 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Twenty-year-old Martinelli impressed in a big way on the night and put himself in contention to start against Tottenham.

But Campbell does not believe it’ll be enough to see Arteta include him in his first XI tomorrow evening.

He told The Highbury Squad podcast: “That’s not happening but I believe Martinelli had a good game against Wimbledon, which is nice. It’s nice that when he gets his chance, he makes a difference.”

The hosts are favourites

Arsenal are certainly favourites, yep.

Not only is it at the Emirates, but Spurs have been pretty rotten these past couple of weeks.

In their last two Premier League games, Tottenham have conceded six goals in total, losing 3-0 to both Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

Nuno Espirito Santo had the Lilywhites top of the table going into the international break, but the wheels have come off in a big way and in all likelyhood things could get worse for them on Sunday.
