Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has given an update on Curtis Jones’ fitness.
Jones has been representing the England U21s over the past fortnight, and while he performed brilliantly for the Young Lions, crafting an assist against Andorra that even drew admiration from Arsenal fans, the 20-year-old hasn’t come out unscathed.
Indeed, Klopp says that the midfielder has come back from international duty with an injury and the German says that the youngster is not available for tomorrow.
What’s been said?
Klopp gave an update on the youngster.
“Curtis Jones came back from England Under 21s injured, which is not good. It’s hard to get in touch with them. They played Andorra, great, important he played there, come back injured, not available for tomorrow,” Klopp said

Crisis brewing
We hate to jinx it, but there is something of a midfield crisis brewing at Liverpool right now.
Thiago is out, Fabinho is unavailable for the Watford game, Harvey Elliott is out for the foreseeable future and now Jones has been sidelined.
Luckily, the likes of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are all ready to step in, but if any of those three pick up a problem then Liverpool will be down to the bare bones.
Last season the Reds had an unprecedented crisis at centre-half, and now it seems as though they’re having a few issues with their midfielders.
Fingers crossed Jones’ issue doesn’t keep him out of action for too long.
