Darren Ambrose has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur trio Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Davinson Sanchez are ‘not good enough’ for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Tottenham-supporting pundit added that Antonio Conte’s squad is also not up to scratch and Spurs don’t have the luxury of what Pep Guardiola has at his disposal at Manchester City.
Whilst the Premier League champions eased past Championship side Bristol City in the FA Cup, whilst also making changes to their XI, it was a different story for the north London club.

Harry Kane was on the bench for Tottenham’s visit to Sheffield United and it resulted in the promotion-chasing side securing a deserved 1-0 win.
Dier, Sanchez and Davies started that game, with those very same players also being part of the team that was booted out of the League Cup by Nottingham Forest before the World Cup.
All in all, it has ended yet another season where Spurs are going to go trophyless, unless they do the unthinkable in the Champions League, with former Newcastle United midfielder Darren Ambrose sharing his thoughts, as he told talkSPORT.
“I don’t think the defence is good enough,” said Ambrose. “I don’t think the squad is good enough. You just said about Pep Guardiola’s squad at Manchester City. Everyone is jealous of that squad. We get that. World-class players. At least two for every position.
“The defence of Dier, Davies and Sanchez. It’s not good enough for a top-four side.”

MAURICIO POCHETTINO RETURN
There is talk about the former PSG boss returning to north London, and if he does, then many of his old signings will still be there.
Ben Davies was one of Poechttino’s first captures, whilst Dier came for a small fee from Sporting Lisbon and Davinson Sanchez was one of his big-money buys.
Just like when Poch was in charge, all three are still being questioned as to whether they have the minerals to push Tottenham to a trophy because they are showing the same worrying signs again and again.
