David Provan has slammed Rangers striker Kemar Roofe in The Scottish Sun.
The Celtic legend believes that Rangers star Roofe should have made contact with Ondrej Kolar and apologised to him.
Provan has also said that the former Leeds United striker – who cost Rangers €5 million (£4.33 million) in transfer fees when they signed him from Anderlecht in the summer of 2020, according to Dhnet.be – should have issued an apology to the Slavia Prague goalkeeper on social media.
The Scotsman wrote in The Scottish Sun: “For what it’s worth, I don’t think Kemar Roofe deliberately hurt Slavia Prague keeper Ondrej Kolar. The ball was there to be won.
“But when Roofe discovers he had fractured Kolar’s skull, shouldn’t he be making contact with the player? Would a social media apology have been asking too much?
“Roofe also landed in trouble after a challenge on St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson this season. Not good enough from the Rangers striker.”

Incident
During the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16 tie between Rangers and Slavia at Ibrox last month, Kolar suffered a skull fracture, as reported by The Sun.
It was a very bad challenge from Roofe, and the striker was shown a straight red card.
The Rangers star caught the Slavia goalkeeper full on the face. Kolar was left bloodied from the challenge.
Roofe has actually been banned for four games because of the challenge, as reported by BBC Sport.
Big game today
Rangers will return to action this afternoon when they take on bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup.
It promised to be a huge exciting game at Ibrox, and there should be some drama and goals.
