Celtic fans have watched a number of highly-rated players underperform this season

Charlie Adam believes Jeremie Frimpong is not good enough to play for Celtic.
The former Rangers midfielder has been unimpressed with Frimpong during what has been a difficult campaign for the defending champions, who find themselves 19 points behind their rivals at the top of the Premiership.
Frimpong impressed supporters last season, but has been unable to replicate that form on a regular basis this time around.
The 20-year-old Dutchman has made 27 appearances in a season that has also seen Celtic finish bottom of their Europa League group and exit the Betfred Cup with a 2-0 defeat at home against Ross County.

Adam, who now plays for Dundee, delivered a scathing verdict on Frimpong while appearing on Wednesday’s edition of the PLZ Football Show.
The 35-year-old midfielder said: “Frimpong, I don’t think he’s good enough.
“Yes, he’s good going forward but defensively I don’t think he’s at the level everybody thinks he is.
“They desperately need a right-winger with James Forrest coming back from an injury and I think he’s been a massive loss to them.

“If you look at the number of players who might want away if they lose Ten In A Row, you’re looking at a brand new team.”
Adam scored 18 goals in 88 appearances for Rangers, before going on to play for the likes of Blackpool, Liverpool and Stoke City.
Frimpong, who returns to action on Monday night when Celtic play host to Hibs, has been linked in recent days with a move to Roma.
According to Romanews.eu, the Serie A club have “intensified contacts with the Scottish club and the player’s entourage to try to take important steps forward in the negotiations.”
