Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-Min Son has joked about Arsenal in his latest interview with the club’s official channel.
Son was asked what five minutes of a football match over the course of history he would have loved to have played in, but the Tottenham striker had some problems answering the question.
“It’s so difficult,” he said.
With Son seemingly in need of some encouragement, the interviewer, Josh Denzel, who is an Arsenal fan, appeared to encourage the South Korean to pick a game for a rival side.
“You don’t have to be playing for Spurs,” he said.
But Son was on his guard, and laughed: “Not for Arsenal!
“I’m just really grateful for what I’m doing and where I am.”
Son’s answer will only further endear himself to the Tottenham supporters, although his popularity could hardly grow any more.
Son has become a real crowd favourite at Tottenham, and his form this season has been nothing short of remarkable.
The 28-year-old sits right at the top of the Premier League’s scoring charts, with 12 goals to his name for the season so far.
Son’s strong showings could be rewarded in the coming weeks, with Tottenham thought to be planning to offer him a new contract (The Athletic).
