Going by his joke about Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Lord Sugar absolutely didn’t make his fortune as a stand-up comedian anyway.

The London-born billionaire took to Twitter last night to post a quip about the Liverpool boss.

On Sunday morning at 2 am, the clocks will go back an hour.

And because the word ‘clock’ sounds a little like the Reds coach’s surname, the former Tottenham Hotspur owned decided to execute something of a play on words.

Thing is, it bombed in quite an accidentally-funny way.

Here’s what the 74-year-old posted on social media:

Awful

As far as jokes go, this is the Djimi Traore of knee slappers and here’s how some Liverpool fans responded to Sugar on Twitter:

Fortunateley for fans of the Merseyside club, Klopp is going nowhere anytime soon.

Well, his contract expires in 2024 and there’s been talk that he might not stay at Liverpool beyond then.

But that’s a long time away yet and the German could be even more successful between then and now.

As his side showed last week, Liverpool, who won 5-0 at Manchester United, are capable of so much more under the former Borussia Dortmund coach.

And it’s genuinely exciting to see what he could achieve over the next year or two.
