Jose Enrique has mocked Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea on Twitter for the transfer fee they will pay for Marc Cucurella, comparing it to the money that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool paid for Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

As reported by Sky Sports, Chelsea will pay an initial transfer fee of £52.5 million to sign Spain international left-back Cucurella from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion this summer.

Chelsea paid £50 million to sign Ben Chilwell from Leicester City in the summer of 2020, as reported by Sky Sports at the time.

Chilwell is also a left-back and is a regular in the England national football team.

So, Chelsea will soon have two left-backs for a combined fee of £100 million.

That is a lot of money to spend on just two left-backs.

Former Liverpool star Enrique has pointed out that Liverpool’s two left-backs, Robertson and Tsimikas, cost way less.
