Erling Haaland has expressed how it’s ‘not easy’ to win in the Premier League by highlighting Liverpool’s 1-0 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s men, less than a week after taking apart Manchester United 7-0, were beaten by the then-bottom-of-the-table Premier League side.

That was the early kick-off to the weekend’s action, with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City facing off against Crystal Palace during the evening game.

For the 28th time this season, Man City’s goal-crazy striker was on the scoresheet, this time a late penalty to close the gap to leaders Arsenal to two points.

Whilst normal service is resuming for the Premier League champions, their former challengers have suffered yet another costly knockdown.

That was touched upon by Haaland, who warned that it’s never an easy day out in the Premier League, as he told PL Productions (11/03/23 at 7:30 pm).

“In the end, all that matters is the three points or to win games and keep performing,” said Haaland.

“It’s not easy. You saw Bournemouth, they beat Liverpool and every single game is a fight. You saw that, it’s a fight, we win and we are really happy.”

LIVERPOOL FALL FURTHER AWAY

In previous seasons, this Jurgen Klopp side is used to pushing for the title. But, after 26 games, they are 21 points behind the current leaders, Arsenal.

Whilst the Reds have only lost one home game this season, their performances on the road have been beyond abject.

Forget about the title, they are going to do well to get back in the Champions League for next season, which could affect their title hopes next term.

Liverpool need a refresh in the summer and without those star-studded players arriving during the summer transfer market, then the rebuild might be tougher than people think.
