Speaking on his Twitch channel, Fabrice Muamba has been speaking about Arsenal and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The former Arsenal man was actually full of praise for the Gunners after their recent resurgence, but he did have some bones to pick with the squad.
One player he wasn’t overly impressed by was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Muamba was critical of the Gabonese forward’s goal record this season, stating that his four goals from 12 appearances isn’t quite what you’d expect from a player like Aubameyang.
What’s been said?
Muamba spoke about some Arsenal players who he feels need to be scoring more.
“Mikel Arteta will be happy with his team, but you have the likes of Aubameyang, here are his stats this season. He’s played 12 games, started 11 of them and scored four goals, that, for me, is not at the level you’d expect from Aubameyang. Martin Odegaard, again, he’s another one, 11 games, started seven, scored one goal, there aren’t enough goals, the goals are all coming from the wingers. As I said, Mikel Arteta will have to emphasise the importance of goals from the midfield and the strikers,” Muamba said.

Got to score more
As harsh as it sounds, Muamba is spot on about Aubameyang needing to score more goals.
The Gabonese forward is a player capable of scoring 30 goals a season, but if he continues at this current rate, he’ll net 12 or 13, which, simply put, isn’t good enough.
Arsenal need to put the ball in the back of the net more often if they’re going to make a real push for a top-four spot.
