Former Premier League striker Darren Bent is backing Arsenal to beat Manchester United when they welcome Erik ten Hag’s side to the Emirates on Sunday.
Arsenal dropped points last time out, drawing 2-2 with Fulham, but have still made a good start to the season after winning their first two games. And things could get even better if they manage to defeat their rivals Manchester United.
When asked if he can see United beating Arsenal by Andy Goldstein on talkSPORT, Bent said: “No, not at the Emirates, no, because you lot are appalling away from home.”
Bent also predicted that the Gunners would run out 3-1 victors on the day.
In the same fixture last season, Arsenal claimed all three points thanks to a last-minute winner from Eddie Nketiah.
Arsenal favourites
You probably would have to back Arsenal to win this one. While the Gunners were not at their best last week, the same can easily be said about United.
They just about got past Nottingham Forest, while the game prior, they lost against Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils were hardly convincing against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their first match of the season either, beating their opponents 1-0 at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag is dealing with a few injury problems as well, with Raphael Varane ruled out for the meeting at the Emirates, which is a major blow.
Simply put, with Arsenal having home advantage and being in better form than United, they should be avoiding defeat. In such a fixture, though, everything goes out of the window, so it would be unwise to write off the Manchester club.
If Mikel Arteta’s men can earn the victory, however, they can send a real message to the rest of the division and show everyone that they are ready for another title fight.
