Crysencio Summerville has made it clear that his intention is to stay at Feyenoord despite interest from Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers, speaking to Voetbal Primeur.
If the Gers were waiting for a favour from Ibrox legend Dick Advocaat, they will be disappointed.
Voetbal International reported a fortnight ago that the Glasgow giants were hoping to snap up Summerville from Advocaat’s Feyenoord side.
Wolves, who have snapped up teen talents Justin Hubner and Nigel Lonwijk from Den Bosch and PSV already in 2020, had also made a multi-million bid for the electrifying 18-year-old.
But while Summerville has just 12 months left on his contract at Feyenoord, this Rotterdam-born starlet has his heart set on making a name for himself at his boyhood club before embarking on an adventure elsewhere.
“We are looking at what is best for me, but we are not quite sure yet. The conversations (over a new deal) are going well,” said the 18-year-old, who shone on loan at ADO Den Haag in 2019/20.

“We’re not after money. It’s just about what’s best for me. Money is the last problem. I think it is quite funny when I read such things (about wanting a bigger wage).
“I really want to see a plan and I want (Feyenoord) to trust me. It’s not just about now or next year, but beyond that.”
Whether Summerville will succeed in forcing his way into Advocaat’s starting XI next season remains to be seen.
Feyenoord still have some of the Eredivisie’s most influential widemen in Jens Toornstra, Sam Larsson and Steven Burghuis while the prolific Bryan Linssen recently arrived after a stellar spell at Vitesse Arnhem.
