Speaking on ESPN, Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has been discussing Richarlison and Gabriel Jesus after their moves to north London.

The pundit was asked who will score the most goals next season between Jesus, Richarlison, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, and he chose Arsenal’s new number nine.

Indeed, the pundit stated that Richarlison isn’t a finisher and that Jesus will outscore him next term.

What’s been said?

Nicol gave his verdict on the forwards.

“I’m going to have to go with Jesus. Sancho has forgotten where the goal is, Rashford, is he going to play? Richarlison is he even going to get a game?” Nicol asked.

“Richarlison is not a finisher by the way, he’s not a natural finisher and I’m not sure he’s going to be playing as many games as you seem to think.”

More chances

Nicol says that Jesus will outscore Richarlison next season, and we’re inclined to agree with the pundit.

Indeed, Jesus should be Arsenal’s starting number nine on a weekly basis, while Richarlison will likely have to rotate his minutes with Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski.

Factor in that Jesus is likely to play centrally and Richarlison will probably start out wide most weeks, and it’s fair to assume that the former Manchester City man will get more chances to score.

These two players will be continuously compared to each other after big-money moves to north London, but, in our view, there will only be one winner when it comes to the goalscoring charts this term.
