Well, it’s safe to say Jose Enrique isn’t buying what Harvey Elliott has said about Liverpool.

According to the 19-year-old, Jurgen Klopp’s side aren’t out of the Premier League title race just yet.

Liverpool are sixth in the table and a massive 15 points behind Arsenal at the summit.

But according to Elliott, the Reds have no intention of surrendering their title bid, as per an interview with Sky Sports on Thursday.

However, the club’s former left-back does not believe Klopp and co can salvage it.

Here’s how he reacted to Elliott’s comments on Instagram:

Can Liverpool win the title?

Well, you’d have to be a brave person to write off Klopp’s side.

Remember, this is a team that came pretty close to winning four competitions last season, falling short on the Premier League and Champions League.

This time last year, they were trailing Manchester City by a considerable margin and still came perilously close to catching the Citizens.

On this occasion, however, it’s much more challenging.

That’s because Liverpool are not only adrift of City now, but Arsenal.

And the way the Gunners played during the first half of the campaign, they could take some serious catching, too.

You have to admire Elliott’s attitude nonetheless, for this is the sort of mentality you desperately need at an elite club.

But realistically, no. Liverpool surely will not be winning – or perhaps even challenging – for the title.
