There are plenty of big-name players out of contract this summer, but perhaps there will be no bigger star than Paul Pogba available on a Bosman in the coming months.

Indeed, the French midfielder’s Manchester United contract is up at the end of June, and with no indication that he’ll be putting pen to paper on a new deal at Old Trafford, he’s being linked with a number of top clubs.

Pogba has been strongly linked to both Newcastle and Manchester City, and perhaps most intriguingly, there have also been some tenuous links to Liverpool.

We must admit, a move to Anfield for Pogba seems unlikely, and in the eyes of some, he wouldn’t be worthy of playing for the Merseyside club.

Jose Enrique is one man who doesn’t like the idea of Pogba coming to Anfield, stating that the Frenchman wouldn’t suit the Reds’ style of play.

While Pogba is a fantastically talented footballer – he’s even been labelled as ‘unplayable’ in the past, it’s fair to say that he wouldn’t suit this Liverpool team.

Jurgen Klopp demands high-energy and concentration at all times from his players, but Pogba doesn’t quite fit that mould.

The midfielder is lackadaisical at the best of times, and in the Reds’ structured pressing system, he’d be a weak link.

Is Pogba a better player than someone like Jordan Henderson? Technically he probably is, but when you’re building a squad, you need players who fit your system, and Pogba is, quite simply, not a Jurgen Klopp player.
