Norwich City saw off a resilient Stevenage FC 3-1 at Carrow Road on Tuesday night

Norwich City secured their first win of the season after seeing off Stevenage FC 3-1 in the first round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
Marco Steipermann opened the scoring after heading home from a corner but the the League Two side scored a brilliant equaliser on 40 minutes. James Ball fired home a tremendous free-kick which left the Canaries stunned.
The home side – who made ten changes after the West Bromwich Albion defeat – were left to labour towards victory and late goals from Christoph Zimmerman and Teemu Pukki made sure Norwich progressed.
It wasn’t the prettiest of displays from Daniel Farke’s side but Ben Godfrey’s performance has drawn praise from a section of City fans in particular, who were impressed with the youngsters contribution.

The York City graduated is tipped to go on and make a name for himself at Carrow Road and after Tuesday’s display, fans will be keen to see him in action again. Played as a central midfielder, the 20-year-old looked calm and composed throughout.
There wasn’t much that got past Godfrey and if displays like this are replicated, it’ll be hard for Farke to ignore him. Here’s a look at some of the best reaction from Norwich fans via Twitter:
