The Whites of Marcelo Bielsa will be playing in the Championship next term after losing to Derby County at Elland Road for a 4-3 aggregate defeat.

In the wake of Leeds United’s defeat in the Championship playoff semi-final, Norwich City have posted a Twitter message in an apparent dig at the Elland Road side.
The Whites hosted Derby County in Wednesday’s second leg in Yorkshire boasting a 1-0 lead from the first leg at Pride Park, and history was in their favour.
Prior to kickoff, no Championship team that had lost the semi-final first leg at home had gone on to reach the final, and things looked good early on in the game as Leeds took the lead.
Stuart Dallas tapped home in the 24th minute after Liam Cooper’s header had hit the post, but Jack Marriott levelled from a mix-up between Cooper and goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.
Mason Mount and Harry Wilson turned the tie on its head and, even though Dallas levelled the tie on aggregate, Marriott’s second proved enough to see Frank Lampard’s side through to the final 4-3 on aggregate.
Norwich, who were involved in a three-way tussle for automatic promotion along with Marcelo Bielsa’s side and Sheffield United, finished top of the table, while the Blades took second place.
