The Canaries were linked with the PNE forward but the Lilywhites swiftly rubbished the report with a Twitter statement.

A number of Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Preston North End’s rebuttal seemingly towards a Sky Sports News report claiming the Canaries had made a £6million bid for Lilywhites forward Callum Robinson.
Just after 11am on Saturday, not long after Sky Sports had published their article earlier in the morning, Preston put out a statement on Twitter denying that any bids were on the table for any of their players, as opposed to what “reports in the media” were saying.
Needless to say quite a few North End fans were delighted with their club’s swift rebuttal of speculation surrounding the 24-year-old:
Some Canaries fans also had their say:
Robinson scored 12 goals in 27 Championship games for Preston last season, helping them to a 14th-place finish in the table, and is contracted to the Deepdale club until the summer of 2020, according to Transfermarkt.
The Republic of Ireland international came through the ranks at Aston Villa but only made five appearances as he had three loan stints at Preston three times, and one at Bristol City before finally moving to Deepdale on a permanent deal in 2016.
