Jacob Murphy looks to be on the way to Newcastle United, but twin brother Josh must continue to perform for Norwich City.
Jacob Murphy may be heading for Newcastle United, but Norwich City have a ready-made replacement already on their books.
While the Chronicle are reporting that Rafa Benitez’s move for the Canaries winger is to be completed on Tuesday, the player will leave behind twin brother Josh Murphy at Carrow Road.

Jacob netted nine Championship goals last term and played his way into the England U21 set-up, but fellow wide man Josh was arguably the more exciting prospect just a year ago.
Having featured previously for Norwich in the Premier League and enjoyed a second tier loan with MK Dons, Josh had the advantage over Jacob – before the latter exploded onto the scene with some dazzling performances.
Norwich’s remaining Murphy must step up again now, though, and is likely to be afforded more chances now his brother – who made 32 league starts last season – is out of the picture.
A pre-season injury to Alex Pritchard, too, as reported by the Eastern Daily Press, will clear a path for Murphy – but it will place more pressure on him as well.
Just nine league starts last term led to four goals. Although that is a handy enough return, he could now be key to a promotion push and must replicate that ratio in a greater number of games.
A successful season would see Murphy join his brother in the Premier League next year – whether still with Norwich or not…
