Norwich City youngster Max Aarons has emerged as a transfer target for Crystal Palace and Manchester United, according to a Sky Sports report.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a superb breakthrough season with the Canaries in 2018-19, making 41 appearances in the Championship (Transfermarkt) as Daniel Farke’s charges won the title.

Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked with the Red Devils and Sky Sports claims that, if the 21-year-old Eagles ace goes to United, Aarons is their number one replacement in that position.

However, should the Old Trafford outfit fail to secure the services of Wan-Bissaka, they may nonetheless turn their attentions to the Norwich teenager, while Tottenham Hotspur and Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have also been linked with him in recent months.

The report has not gone down too well with some of the Norwich faithful, considering Aarons is going to be in the same league as both of the latest clubs being linked to him.

Here is what some said on Twitter:

Aarons was named the EFL Young Player of the Season and was included in the PFA Championship team of the year as part of Farke’s title-winning side last season.
