The 17-year-old joins the Canaries – back in the Premier League – from League One side Rochdale.

New Norwich City signing Daniel Adshead has taken to Twitter to express his delight at joining the Premier League new-boys, looking forward to the challenge ahead, and wishing former club Rochdale all the best.
The 17-year-old, who was reportedly on the radar of such teams as Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona, joins the Canaries on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee reported by the Daily Mail to be £300,000.
With a senior Dale debut shortly after his 16th birthday and 25 appearances under his belt for the club, not to mention scoring on his England Under-18s debut, Adshead is highly rated and Norwich appear to have pulled off a major coup in securing his signature.
The young midfielder is expected to link up with Norwich’s academy to begin with, and given several home-grown talents have not only broken into the first team but also played a key role in the club’s Championship title win, it looks like a good move for both parties.
Here is what Adshead tweeted following his switch to Carrow Road:
Some Norwich fans and Rochdale supporters alike took the time to respond, wishing him all the best:
