Norwich City fans have given their assessment of Tom Trybull’s performances against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night – and Jonny Howson should look away now.
Norwich sold Howson to Middlesbrough earlier in the summer, fetching around £5 million for their former captain.
In his place, the Canaries recruited a little known German midfielder in Trybull, who initially arrived at Carrow Road on trial before signing a one-year deal at the start of August.
But since the 24-year-old’s first Championship appearance earlier this month, Norwich are yet to concede single goal and have won three of a possible five matches.
The latest will perhaps feel extra special given Howson’s exit, and Canaries fans have been quick to rub it in the face of their 2016 player of the year on Twitter.
James Maddison scored the only goal at the Riverside Stadium, as Norwich emerged with a 1-0 win which moved Daniel Farke’s side to 10th in the Championship.
The Canaries end the month of September at Reading on Saturday evening.
