The Canaries ace has committed his future to Carrow Road until 2024.
A number of Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter to praise the Premier League club’s latest positive player update in the shape of Emiliano Buendia penning a new five-year Carrow Road contract.
The Argentine attacking midfielder has been sensational for the Canaries since joining from Getafe in the summer of 2018, weighing in with eight goals and 12 assists in 38 Championship games (Transfermarkt) as Daniel Farke’s charges won the title and promotion to the top flight.
Buendia has now signed fresh terms on a deal until 2024, adding two years to his previous Norwich contract, and joins numerous Canaries players in committing to the East Anglian club ahead of their return to the top table.
Teemu Pukki, Marco Stiepermann, Onel Hernandez, Ben Godfrey, Kenny McLean and Tim Krul are just some of the players who have penned new terms, while a spate of exciting new arrivals – permanent and loans – such as Patrick Roberts, Ralf Fahrmann and Josip Drmic all bode well for 2019-20.
In addition, Norwich have also recently recruited some highly rated young players, such as Daniel Adshead and Charlie Gilmour, with a view to the future beyond next season, so all in all, it’s proving more than just one ‘good day’ this summer.
