The Canaries are 14 points behind their next opponents, but Town have looked very shaky recently.

Norwich City shouldn’t be worried in the slightest about facing Huddersfield Town in their next Championship fixture, despite the Terriers comfortably sitting in the play-off positions.

By the time Norwich face Huddersfield on Wednesday, the Terriers could be as low as fifth if current fourth placed side Reading and current fifth placed occupants Leeds United pick up wins in Tuesday’s action.

To even be in that position from looking so strong tells you all you need to know about Huddersfield’s recent form, as they’ve looked incredibly shaky of late – far from a side set to take the play-offs by storm.

A 90th minute winner was required to defeat an abysmal Rotherham United side 3-2, while David Wagner’s side lost to two relegation battlers in Bristol City and Burton Albion in their last two matches, 4-0 and 1-0 respectively.

Caretaker manager Alan Irvine’s side may have lost 2-0 to Aston Villa in their last outing, though they were much the better team and dominated possession – it was more missed chances that cost Norwich rather than poor play.

A similar performance against a flagging Huddersfield side could well result in a victory, and while the table doesn’t lie and over 38 games Huddersfield deserve to be where they are – they are far from unbeatable.
