SkyBet have slashed odds on David Wagner becoming the next Norwich City next manager to 7/4.

Earlier in the week the bookmaker had Wagner as 8/1 third favourite for the role, which was vacated by Alex Neil in March.

However, the Huddersfield Town boss is now second on the list of likely candidates, behind 10/11 favourite Uwe Rosler.

Wagner, whose Terriers side take on Sheffield Wednesday in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final this weekend, worked with Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Meanwhile, Leeds United manager Garry Monk has drifted from 5/2 to 9/1 to take up the position, making him joint-third favourite alongside Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Paul Lambert.

Lambert, who led Norwich from League One to the Premier League in his three seasons in charge at Carrow Road, is expected to leave Wolves after an alleged dispute over the club’s transfer policy.

The Scot took the Wolves reins in November and led the struggling side clear of relegation to the third tier.
