The Derby County midfielder has left himself open to a Norwich City return.
Derby County midfielder Bradley Johnson
Norwich City fans are urging their club to re-sign Bradley Johnson, after the Derby County midfielder left himself open to a Carrow Road return later down the line.
In an interview with the Eastern Daily Press, Johnson described his four years at Norwich as the best time of his career and said: “I’m at Derby now and I’ve got two more years left here, hopefully I see them out and then you never know what can happen.
“If Norwich came in for me I’d never turn them down, anyway.”
Johnson’s interview appears to have ruffled a few feathers within the Derby fan base, although the 30-year-old’s comments imply that he was talking about after his Rams contract has ended.
Neverthless, as far as those of a Norwich persuasion are concerned, an immediate return to Carrow Road for Johnson – whom they sold to Derby for £7 million two years ago – would be most welcome.

HITC’s verdict:
In reality, it would be some surprise to see Johnson leave Derby for Norwich this summer, with the Canaries appearing to be ditching their high-earning stars in favour of cheaper – and generally more obscure – recruits.
