The Sheffield Wednesday-owned striker hasn’t scored for Norwich since January.

Norwich City fans are reacting on Twitter to Jordan Rhodes’ latest performance on loan from Sheffield Wednesday.

Rhodes made his 38th appearance of the season during Norwich’s 2-2 draw against Reading on Tuesday – and 27th from the bench.

And the Scotland international was presented with an excellent chance to put the Canaries 3-1 up in stoppage time, only to find himself thwarted by the former Sheffield Wednesday loan ‘keeper, Emiliano Martinez.

It ensured that Rhodes’ goal drought was extended to nine outings – although he has spent just 84 minutes on the pitch throughout that run.

And things got worse still for the 29-year-old as Reading equalised seven minutes after the ninety, to deny Norwich another three points on their quest for promotion.

This is how those of a City persuasion are reacting to Rhodes’ cameo…

******* Rhodes. Misses a sitter to make it 3-1 and then gives the ball away when we’re through with 30 seconds left. Utter *****

Norwich have no obligation to sign the Sheffield Wednesday player at the end of his spell at Carrow Road, which has yielded nine goals from 11 starts.

And with his uncle, Steve Agnew, now employed as Wednesday’s assistant manager, the Owls’ could yet decide to keep him whatever the Canaries’ plans.
