Norwich City moved into the Championship play-off places with a 3-2 home win over Cardiff City despite ex-Canary Anthony Pilkington’s brace.

Norwich City got back to winning ways with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Cardiff City at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.
The win takes Norwich back into the Championship play-off places with 11 points from their first six matches.
Murphy twins Josh and Jacob were instrumental for the home side but a late brace from Cardiff’s Anthony Pilkington was what got fans talking following the full-time whistle.

The match got off to a positive start for the Canaries as Jacob Murphy’s cross was knocked in at the second attempt by striker Cameron Jerome inside the first 20-minutes.
Murphy then set-up Norwich’s second as well, as Russell Martin nodded the ball in from a corner 14 minutes into the second half.

Then late in the match, former Canaries winger Pilkington turned the ball over the line after the hosts failed to deal with a Cardiff corner.
Norwich’s Josh Murphy then got in on the action with a brilliant curling effort to restore the two-goal lead just before Pilkington popped up again with one of the last kicks of the game to grab his second.
The 28-year-old celebrated his consolation goal by putting his finger on his lips in a gesture to the home support – it wasn’t well received.
Though some fans did take time to praise their former player…
