Norwich City fans have issued a warning to Leeds United about their star midfielder.
Norwich midfielder Jonny Howson
Leeds United are plotting a £4 million move for their former midfielder Jonny Howson, of Norwich City, according to Teamtalk.
The rumour has sent Leeds Twitter into meltdown, with Howson’s potential return to the club he’s supported since childhood seen as the perfect tonic to this season’s play-off near miss.
Since leaving Leeds in 2012, Howson has appeared on 188 occasions for Norwich, more than half of which have been in the Premier League.
And despite his 29th birthday approaching this weekend, the Yorkshireman is showing little sign of decline – scoring six goals and creating eight since the Canaries’ relegation last summer.

As such, Norwich fans aren’t convinced by the size of Leeds’ (alleged) planned bid – warning the Whites they will have to stump up much more than that to lure Howson back up north.
Worryingly for Norwich, new sporting director Stuart Webber has already admitted the club may have to sell before they can buy this summer, with this month’s player clearout – which saw seven first teamers released at the end of their deals – appearing to support those comments.
