Norwich City have signed Marcus Edwards on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

Norwich City have completed a surprise swoop for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Marcus Edwards.
The Canaries announced last night they have struck a deal to sign Edwards on loan until the end of the season.
Edwards made his debut in 2016 for Spurs in the League Cup, but has not featured since.

The teenager has been hyped up as Tottenham’s most gifted academy talent, and his performances for England at youth level have justified it too.
This season he was overlooked for cup opportunities by head coach Mauricio Pochettino, and now has a chance to play competitive football with Norwich.

Norwich have just sold former Spurs talent Alex Pritchard to Premier League side Huddersfield, and one had striker Harry Kane on loan.
A series of loan spells hardened Kane and helped turn him into the world class player Tottenham benefit from today, and this move to Norwich is potentially the first step in his journey to super stardom.
Norwich are in 13th place in the Championship table and are in need of inspiration. Edwards could be just the spark they need to help off set Pritchard’s departure.
