Canaries pair Alexander Tettey and Timm Klose are set for time on the sidelines. Here is how some fans reacted to the news.

Norwich City Manager Daniel Farke looks on ahead the Sky Bet Championship match between Brentford and Norwich City at Griffin Park on January 01, 2019 in Brentford, England.

Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has provided an update on the fitness of midfielder Alex Tettey and defender Timm Klose ahead of the Championship match against Birmingham City on Friday night.

The update is not a positive one, unfortunately, with the former set to miss at least three weeks with a groin strain, while the latter has flown to Switzerland to see a specialist about a knee problem which could require surgery.

Tettey – who has made 25 Championship appearances this season, according to Transfermarkt – is set to miss the games against Birmingham City, Sheffield United and Leeds United, though his manager hopes he will be back for the big derby against Ipswich Town at Carrow Road.

Klose – with 22 league appearances under his belt this term – will definitely miss the fixtures against the Blues and the Blades, but should he need to go under the knife, Farke’s estimate for time on the sidelines is six weeks, according to Pink Un.

With Norwich having slipped to third in the Championship and the margins of error being tight as always in the division, there is bound to be anxiety over anything which can upset the balance of a squad.
