Norwich City fans have delivered their verdict on new Wolverhampton Wanderers recruit Ryan Bennett.

Bennett signed a three-year deal at Wolves on Wednesday, despite the BBC reporting he had also held talks with Sheffield United.

The 27-year-old was due to become a free agent at the end of next month, after Norwich opted against offering him a new contract.

And after 118 appearances in five-and-a-half-years of service – including a promotion to the Premier League – you’d think the Canaries faithful would have plenty of kind words to say.

On the plus side, Norwich paid notorious talent spotters Peterborough United £3 million for Bennett, who made more than half of his Canaries’ appearances in the Premier League and turned out for England Under-21s on three occasions.

So he can’t be all bad, can he?

Will Bennett be a success at Wolverhampton Wanderers?
