Norwich City beat Rotherham United 3-1 at Carrow Road.

Norwich City supporters have taken to Twitter to comment on Todd Cantwell’s performance as the young attacking midfielder contributed greatly to his side’s 3-1 win over Rotherham United.
The Canaries were looking to move back to the top of the Championship table after Leeds United momentarily knocked them off top spot with a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United in the day’s earlier kick-off.
Rotherham, though, didn’t arrive at Carrow Road just to make up the numbers and they stifled Norwich in the first-half, taking a 1-0 lead into the half-time interval.
The hosts, however, came out revitalised after the break and Cantwell inspired them to an impressive second-half comeback as he scored one and assisted another with a near flawless display.
The 20-year-old has broken into the Norwich side this season alongside fellow academy graduates Jamal Lewis and Max Aarons, with the trio offering an abundance of energy and drive when going forward.
Cantwell has displayed plenty of flashes of brilliance earlier in the campaign, but that second-half display was his most consistent yet and displayed his undoubted potential to become a Premier League star.

Aside from his goal and assist, the Norfolk-born attacker provided three key passes, an 86.1% pass-accuracy rate and an incredible five successful take-ons (Whoscored) – more than any other player on the pitch.
The victory means Norwich are hitting the gold standard of two points per game which usually results in automatic promotion, and they’ve now opened up a four-point gap to third-placed Middlesbrough.
