Norwich City’s Timm Klose has been one of the bright sparks for the Canaries so far this season, and the club will be looking to have him fit and able to help lead their promotion push.

Unfortunately, his immediate playing future looks to be in doubt after picking up an ankle injury whilst on international duty. As reported by Eastern Daily Press, it could see him miss Norwich’s Championship return against Rotherham at the weekend.

The 28-year-old was forced off at half time of Switzerland’s 2-1 World Cup qualifying victory over Andorra as he seemed to go over on his ankle.

He kept playing for a few minutes, which may not have been the wisest decision, before eventually being brought off at the interval.

It is not the first time Klose has experienced disappointment with the national team, as a knee ligament injury kept him out of Switzerland’s squad for Euro 2016 this past summer.

This is the latest injury blow for Norwich in the international break after Robbie Brady was knocked unconscious when playing for the Republic of Ireland. Manager Alex Neil will be praying to the footballing gods that nothing else happens before his side take on struggling Rotherham.
