The Nottingham Forest star was linked with Norwich in the summer.
Norwich City thumped Nottingham Forest in the Championship yesterday, as Alex Neil’s side continue to climb back toward the play-off spots in the second-tier.
Prior to the game the Canaries boss was talking up the Forest strikers, including Britt Assombalonga.

The DR Congo striker has proven himself a top goal-threat at this level, until he suffered a serious injury in February 2015.
It ruled him out for over a year, but the Norwich boss admitted he did not feel that it was preventing him as a player.
Speaking to the East Anglia Daily Press Neil stated:
“It is not a lot of injury problems. It is one significant injury problem with his knee but equally I am delighted to see him back playing because you don’t want to see anyone struggle with a bad injury.”
“He is playing now and he is really threatening in and around the box. We are going to have to pay particular attention to that but we have good players as well.”

Of course this may worry Nottingham Forest fans, as Norwich were heavily linked with a move for Assombalonga.
The Daily Mail were one of many to report a £7 million interest from Norwich in the Forest striker and it appears he might have been on the radar at Carrow Road.
Of course, the transfer window is now shut. But hearing how highly Neil still rates the Forest scorer will leave some fans at the City Ground worrying about the long-term future of their star striker.
