Cyle Larin is not surprised to see his name being linked with Everton and West Ham United after a prolific season at Turkish Super Lig leaders Besiktas, as he told the Silivri News Agency.
If this was the win that seals Besiktas’s first league title in four years, then what a way to do it.
Larin was the driving force behind a 7-0 shellacking of Hatayspor, scoring four times in the space of just 55 minutes.
A mesmeric performance from the Canada international not only took his tally to 24 for the season, it also put Besiktas within touching distance of domestic glory.
Larin’s contract is due to expire in 2022 and Fotomac believes that the Istanbul-based outfit will listen to offers of around £12 million in order to avoid losing their star striker on a free.
Sabah reports that West Ham will renew their interest, having failed with a £9 million offer in January.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are also interested (Fanatik in February), and could offer Cenk Tosun to Besiktas as a sweetener.
“It is normal that there is interest after my performance this season,” Larin said, breaking his silence after months of speculation. “It made me feel good.

“I am very happy to contribute. I play well when the team plays well. I can say that I have improved physically.
“I hope I will be the top scorer (in the Super Lig).”
Larin still has work to do if he wants to secure a league title and Golden Boot double, of course. The one-time Orlando City wonderkid – who was tipped for greatness by former teammate Kaka – is still two goals shy of current frontrunner Aaron Boupendza.
