Liverpool fans aren’t happy at the rumours that Thiago is set to start from the bench once again for his side’s clash against Southampton tonight.
The Spanish technician returned to Liverpool’s squad for their goalless draw against Newcastle last time out and came on as a second-half substitute.
Even though Thiago was on the field for such a short period of time, the £20 million summer signing [Sky Sports] added more dynamism, speed and bite to Liverpool’s midfield.
Therefore, after Goal reported that Thiago is set for another place on the bench, the supporters were clearly frustrated and disappointed.
The Liverpool fans have seen what the former Bayern man is capable of doing in such a short space of time, so they know the damage he can cause if he starts.
They clearly want to see him start, so Liverpool can pick up some much-needed three points and also stop their bad run of form away from home.
Against the likes of Newcastle and Fulham, the champions have dropped points, and whilst they still sit top of the tree, others are gaining on them.
