West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Vladimir Coufal shared his views on Ondřej Kúdela’s clash with Glen Kamara.

The Rangers midfielder claimed he was racially abused by the Czech Republic international in Slavia Prague’s 2-0 win over the Gers on March 18th.

Sadly, nobody apart from Kúdela and Kamara know what was said, although Bongani Zungu’s reaction at the time spoke volumes.

Now, when Sky Sports asked about his international teammate, Coufal said: “Of course, everyone from the Czech team stands by Ondrej and everyone is glad that he is here.

“He is an important part of our squad. Other things that happened, I can’t comment on.

It’s a shame that the £5.4 million West Ham right-back will be criticised by some for these comments.

English isn’t his first language, and if you watch the interview, you can see him decline to comment on the situation initially before being pestered.

Of course, if Kúdela had been found guilty, then it would’ve been awful to see Coufal stand by him.

However, while it’s still an allegation, the Hammers defender is within his rights to stand by his teammate.

Nevertheless, he certainly should’ve carried on avoiding the question, as it’s still a very sensitive topic and one that shouldn’t be discussed unless we gain more concrete, factual evidence.

Needless to say, some Irons fans don’t think he should’ve commented either.

Let’s see what the West Ham fans on Twitter said about Coufal’s comments…
