Arsenal fans simply cannot believe that William Saliba could head out on loan to the Championship.

The Independent report that Arsenal are considering letting their new recruit go out on loan to the second tier, to get him more experience in English football.

Saliba was brought to Arsenal this summer, and it was widely expected that he would break into their starting line-up.

However, Mikel Arteta has backed the likes of David Luiz and Rob Holding over the 19-year-old, with Gabriel also ahead of him in the pecking order.

Arsenal are now apparently comfortable with letting him go, to allow him to gain more regular football.

But Arsenal supporters simply cannot understand why the club aren’t handing the teenager an opportunity, as they feel he ranks among their best defensive options.

Plenty of Arsenal players have fought back to earn a spot in Arteta’s plans during the Spaniard’s time in charge, but it is a surprise to see Saliba in such a situation so early on in his Gunners’ career.

If Arsenal do opt to loan out Saliba, plenty of Championship clubs will surely be interested in signing him, as he is so highly regarded and he has already caught the eye in the top division in France.
