Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur renew hostilities with one another next Sunday.

Spurs play host to the first North London derby of the season – and it comes at a pretty bad time for Arsenal.

Not only are Mikel Arteta’s side 14th in the table and without a Premier League victory since November 1, but Tottenham are flying right now under Jose Mourinho.

The Lilywhites earned a point away at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to go back top of the Premier League table and reinforce the idea that they are genuine title challengers.

The hosts will be big favourites and Tottenham fans should rate their chances, but some aren’t happy about an announcement in regards to the officiating.

Martin Atkinson has been appointed referee for this North London derby.

Last November, the Football Association overturned a red card that Atkinson had shown Son Heung-min following the challenge that left Andre Gomes with a broken leg.

He also sent off Davinson Sanchez three years ago and oversaw Spurs’ defeat by Everton in August, which remains the only league game that Mourinho’s side have lost this season.

Here’s how Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter to him getting the whistle on Sunday.
