Liverpool fans have been left gutted after the Liverpool Echo reported that Thiago Alcantara was absent from training yesterday.
There were hopes that Thiago would return from injury ahead of Liverpool’s game against Manchester City on Sunday.
However, it seems like the Spaniard is set to miss out again as he was not training with his Reds teammates yesterday.
Thiago had been spotted in light training earlier in the week, but still doesn’t appear capable of playing alongside his teammates at Melwood.
And Liverpool fans are gutted that they will be without their summer signing at the weekend.
Thiago’s start at Liverpool has been a slow one, as he has been badly affected by injury.
The former Bayern Munich man has now suffered with two fitness problems upon his arrival on Merseyside, which has meant he is yet to really show what he can do in a Liverpool shirt.
Even without Thiago available, Liverpool have coped well recently – and they go into their game against City leading the way in the Premier League.
