Tottenham Hotspur lost young midfielder Noni Madueke in the summer to PSV Eindhoven.

The England under-16 talent chose to move to PSV and spurned interest from RB Leipzig, Celtic, Chelsea, Fulham and Monaco, The Sun reported.

Madueke is enjoying life in Holland so far and his parents have moved out with him to help him adapt.

Speaking to The Times this week, Madueke says he believes the decision to quit Tottenham for PSV was right for his development.

Madueke said: “The league is very competitive, I’d probably say it’s more competitive than in England. It’s faster.”

The 16-year-old midfielder signed a contract with PSV which ties him until 2021.

Earlier this month he was reunited with former side Tottenham, but did not have the result he would have wanted.

He was part of PSV’s UEFA Nations League side which lost 2-0 to Tottenham in the under-19s competition.

For Madueke, just to be involved in the match was vindication of his new side’s faith in his ability.
