Leeds United’s Gianni Alioski has been hailed by Macedonian football fans after his latest display for his country.
Alioski played in all three of Macedonia’s games over the latest international break, and saved his best moment right up until the last minute.
The versatile Leeds player netted a penalty in the 93d minute of their game against Georgia to help his nation to a 1-1 draw.
And Macedonian supporters are absolutely raving about Alioski’s fitness levels, after his latest showing.
Alioski’s stamina is aided by the intensity of training at Leeds under Marcelo Bielsa.
Almost every Leeds player who goes away to represent their country impresses with their work-rate, with Bielsa so demanding on his players.
Alioski may actually be given a well earned break after the international break, as he is unlikely to start in Leeds’ next match.
The Whites are set to play Wolves on Monday evening, but Alioski looks most likely to be on the bench.
