Leeds United defeated Villa 2-0 at Elland Road this evening.
Leeds United have moved up to fourth in the Championship after a fantastic win against Aston Villa at Elland Road this evening.
Leeds fully deserved the win with Kemar Roofe giving them the lead in the second-half with his first goal for the club. Chris Wood then bundled over the line after some good work from Hadi Sacko on the counter attack.
The result was very impressive from Leeds, both in defence and attack but the key moment of the game came from Souleymane Doukara.
Kemar Roofe celebrates with the Leeds United fans after scoring their first goal
He put in an incredible cross from the left-hand side which gave Roofe a chance to score his first goal for the club.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds after the game former Leeds striker and BBC Leeds pundit Noel Whelan had this to say about the win:
“It was about that moment of brilliance by Doukara and without that run by Kemar Roofe, who’d not really been in the game he’d been marked out of it by Mile Jedinak. But if anyone deserved that goal it was Kemar Roofe.
“The most improved player over the past five or six weeks he’s really finding his feet in Championship football.”

The French forward did not look to be in the plans of new manager Garry Monk after his initial appointment at the club but in recent weeks he has emerged as a starter in the Elland Road team and Leeds fans have been won over by the former outcast.
Leeds are now fourth with their next fixture against second-placed Brighton on Friday.
