Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will face Brentford at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.

Leeds will take on Brentford at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.
Barry Douglas is injured for the match, meaning that Bielsa will have to make a decision between 27-year-old Northern Ireland international winger Dallas and 20-year-old Pearce.
Dallas – who joined Leeds from Championship rivals Brentford in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £1.3 million – can operate as a full-back or as a wing-back, while Pearce is a natural left-back and can also play as a left wing-back.
Former Leeds striker Whelan believes that Dallas will get the nod ahead of Pearce for the match against Brentford.
Whelan said on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (6:11pm, October 5, 2018): “I think he will probably go with Dallas because they play so high, the wing-backs, and he is capable of doing both.”

Big game
Brentford are in the top six of the Championship table at the moment, meaning that Leeds will not find it easy against the Bees.
Playing at Elland Road will give the Whites an advantage, but that could be a massive factor in deciding the outcome of this afternoon’s match.
